Had a great experience with ARC fixing my 10 year old 50" Mitsubishi rear projection TV. The TV was turning off after brief periods of use and the color was looking a bit muddy. It's been such a wonderful, quality TV with zero problems for a decade, I really wanted to try to fix it before spending $1500-2000+ to replace it with a new LCD/LED TV. I spoke with the owner /technician Bill on the phone and he took plenty of time to answer all my questions and set up an appointment. The next morning, Bill and his assistant came to my house in Encino and took apart the components that needed diagnosis/repair so they could work on it at their shop in Burbank. A few days later they returned to put the TV back together and it looks as good as new. They cleaned the lamps which restored the TV's picture, repaired a few broken parts and did a general check of the other parts. They also cleaned the mirror and glass. When they hooked my cable box and dvd player back up, they plugged it in a different way that will give me better picture quality and explained the difference between how I had it hooked up and how they wired it. Not too many of the TV's today are made with quality parts so they're not worth fixing or cost too much to fix, but this Mitsubishi can give us many more years of service after ARC's repair. Bill is very knowledgeable and I felt very secure dealing with him. I definitely recommend ARC for TV repair. Bill also told me they sell new TV's (he recommended LG), audio, and do installation too. So I'll keep ARC in mind for my next TV/Audio purchase and installation.

The three guys in this place were super nice and gave me the right information on the phone before I came. They then did the job (fixing some old burnt out power capacitors on a Magnavox plasma) in about ten minutes. Would definitely recommend them to anyone. Convenient, friendly, and a decent price. I came home put the board that they fixed into my plasma and it works like new. Thanks guys. :-)

I service computers but I don't service televisions. A client called me and asked if I could help with his inoperative 55" tv. I told him I couldn't repair it, but I referred him to ARC, and asked him to let me know how it went.

Apparently they picked it up within 30 minutes of his call to them, and returned it THE SAME DAY.

Their fee was very reasonable, and he was very pleased with the results.

I'm bummed that I'm first b/c it means ARC isn't getting the love they deserve.

I found them b/c they're really near where I used to work. They specialize in TVs and electronics, though I've brought lamps to them too. I suspect that if it's electric and can be fixed, these guys can fix it. I've also brought them an old VCR for cleaning & maintenance.

Their prices are reasonable, and if something's just not worth fixing - all too often the case with today's cheaper, crappier goods, they'll tell you... and then you can all bemoan the state of the world and it's being full of cheaper, crappier goods.

They also sell used TVs - even newer flat screens - and electronics, and the prices seemed really reasonable.

Three cheers for ARC!

Well, count me among the converted. I live on the Westside, but I'd had such miserable experiences with local repair places that I decided to bring in my broken S-VHS machine the next time a work appointment took me to the valley. It was well worth it. Friendly people, reasonable pricing - both for estimate and repair, fixed fast and right the first time.

It's also just a cool place, the walls covered with art, much of it made from pieces of electronics, by Bill, the owner.

They also transferred some old family 8mm films to VCR at a very low price (for that service). That said, it didn't include the kind of clean up and careful transfers that some places do when it's their specialty, but those also charge twice as much, so that seemed fair.

Last, they gave me advice about another VCR I had at home that seemed to be broken, recommended trying a $20 head cleaner they said should work better than the one I had, and voila! Another machine now working fine for a $20 investment.

I'll definitely be back, and recommend them highly.

These guys are cool -- they stayed open late for me just so I could drop off a dead TV and some computer gear for recycling. Neat shop inside -- lots of old electronics/tv/radios/etc. Nice peoples.

WOW!!!! Their service exceeded my expectations and at a very reasonable cost with a very FAST turnaround. I don't know who wrote the negative reviews - most likely their competitors.... These guys are GREAT!!! If you want great service at a reasonable cost - you do not need to look any further.
